I think my favorite part of the News Channel 5 piece is when Tom White, attorney for Western Farm Products, LLC/Hoover, Inc./Who Knows Who Else, is quoted as saying "they're aware of the historical significance of Castalian Springs, but they've researched the property and do not believe they'll disrupt any historical sites"...
Did you catch that? They researched it. But managed to miss the two MAJOR historical sites only hundreds of yards away. Doesn't sound like very thorough research to me.

Leave it to the local government leaders in Gallatin and Sumner County to have a meeting facility where it is impossible to audiotape a public meeting so people can actually hear it. This meeting was important and lots of us who moved away to other places years ago would like to have heard what people were saying.
On audio alone:
Quarry Team 1
Castalian Springs Team 0
Y'all be sure and write to your local governmental leaders and tell them to fix that audio system or get out of the county forever. I think that would be a generous gesture, especially being as how they have probably sold you out to the quarry company behind your backs.
